Generic vs oem drivers


















The age-old question: OEM vs Generic drivers? Specifically for desktops. Since I built the pc, I have been using the drivers from asus's website for chipset, mei (management engine), irst (rapid storage), audio and Lan. OEM drivers: Sticking to the manufacturer's drivers which, a lot of the times, are old and outdated. Generic drivers: Getting drivers directly from Intel, Nvidia, Realtek, etc While risking compatibility issues maybe?
